Paul Val?ry (1871-1945)

Paul Val?ry (1871-1945) Ambroise-Paul-Toussaint-Jules Val?ry was a French poet, essayist, and philosopher. His interests were sufficiently broad that he can be classified as a polymath. In addition to his poetry and fiction (drama and dialogues) and aphorisms on art, history, letters, music, and current events, he also wrote many misanthropic diatribes on human nature.

God made everything out of nothing, but the nothingness shows through.
Everything changes but the avant garde.
Politics is a means of preventing people from taking part in what properly concerns them.
